Rocket carrying turkey, fruitcake heads to International Space Station

Based in Seattle, Washington, Spaceflight helps companies like SpaceX identify, book, and manage rideshare launches like the one on December 3.

Add that SpaceX's Falcon 9 Block 5 mostly meet the criteria of NASA for manned flights.

Astronauts who are lucky enough to score a gig aboard the International Space Station make a lot of sacrifices in the name of science.

The nonmoldy food bars and their corresponding mice, which will support the study of aging-related effects in space, are among the components for 38 new investigations on the Dragon spacecraft, NASA officials said. The ship made it into space just fine, but the reusable rocket stage that was supposed to have a soft landing on dry land ended up splashing down in the ocean instead.

Now the re-launch of the Falcon 9 rocket costs about $ 50 million.

Unfortunately, SpaceX suffered a malfunction when a grin fin hydraulic pump stalled and Falcone landed out to sea. The video seems to show that one of the fins didn't initially extend all the way, causing the rocket to spin. The rocket landing was not required for SpaceX's main mission: delivering 5,600 lbs. "Now, the good news is we've got a lot of telemetry from it, so we'll be able to understand what happened and work to improve reliability as we always do here at SpaceX".

"Appears to be undamaged and is transmitting data".

When SpaceX launched Falcon Heavy, which is essentially powered by three Falcon 9 rockets strapped together, the center booster didn't land as planned on a drone-ship in the Atlantic, though the two other rockets returned to ground safely.

As for the current iteration of the Falcon 9 rocket, at the time of the third launch took place yesterday with one of the sites of the company in the Pacific - experts spoke about the lack of such a need.

Other experiments included in the mission include an effort to measure and perform 3D mapping of Earth's tropical and temperate forests; a test of a robotic technology to refuel spacecraft in space; and two student experiments inspired by the "Guardians of the Galaxy" films. It should reach the space station at the weekend.
