NBA Player Kay Felder Arrested For Assault, Allegedly Choked Woman

In a statement, the team said: "On Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, Raptors 905 guard Kay Felder was charged by police in connection with an allegation of domestic violence".

The report goes on to allege that Felder threatened the unnamed woman and choked her before authorities arrived on the scene.

Felder, a Detroit native, appeared in 11 games with Raptors 905 and averaged 18.1 points per game.

Now, we've learned the 23-year-old point guard was taken into custody Monday morning after a person claimed he got violent and made threats during a night out.

The former Oakland University standout has had stints with the Cavaliers, Bulls and Pistons since being selected No. 54 overall back in 2016. The woman reportedly was able to contact a family member, who then called police, and she received medical treatment from paramedics for marks on her neck, per TMZ.

Felder has spent time with several teams over the course of his brief National Basketball Association career, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Chicago Bulls, and the Detroit Pistons.

Felder was later arrested for assault and utter threats.

Felder is due in court later this month, according to TMZ. Reed is current playing for the Utah Jazz G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars, suggesting Felder's career may not be over.

Felder averaged 18 points, four rebounds, and almost seven assists in 11 games for Raptors 905 this season.
