Donald Trump Rages On Twitter Ahead Of Developments In Mueller Probe

The president is now referring to the legal investigation of his campaign as "Presidential Harassment".

In a remarkable set of social media posts, the president alleged Mueller has "big time conflicts of interest" and wondered aloud whether they will be "listed at the top of his Republicans only Report". The special counsel also will explain to another judge why he is accusing former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort with blowing up the plea deal he struck with prosecutors by lying to investigators. But he says it won't be complete until Mueller issues his report.

Manafort, who maintains he has been truthful with Mueller, managed Trump's campaign for three months in 2016.

Trump's comments come as Mueller is facing court deadlines to detail the cooperation of Trump's longtime legal fixer Michael Cohen.

But before we get too comfortable with this latest twist, let's not forget the dizzying back-and-forth that went down to bring us to this place.

Former FBI Director James Comey is sworn in during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on Capitol Hill in Washington, June 8, 2017.

"Without the phony Russian Federation witch hunt, and with all that we have accomplished in the last nearly two years (tax and regulation cuts, judge's, military, vets, etc.) my approval rating would be at 75 per cent rather than the 50 per cent just reported by Rasmussen", Trump said in a tweet. So far, more than 30 people have been charged or pleaded guilty in Mueller's investigation. Rosenstein had been tasked with overseeing the investigation, though that role became unclear after Trump appointed Matthew Whitaker as acting attorney general.

Robert Mueller is set to reveal more details about his Russian Federation investigation as he faces court deadlines in the cases of two men who worked closely with President Donald Trump.

A federal judge in NY has ordered that prosecutors for the Southern District of NY and the Special Counsel's Office have until 5 p.m. Friday to deliver sentencing memos created to detail former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen's cooperation in their ongoing investigations.
