Chris Watts Sentenced in Murder of Pregnant Wife & Daughters

Watts, 33, pleaded guilty this month to first-degree murder and other charges in the death of his wife, 34-year-old Shan'ann, his 4-year-old daughter, Bella, and 3-year-old daughter, Celeste.

"Prison is too good for you".

Two days after Shanann and the girls were reported missing, police found Shanann's body buried in the ground at a petroleum company where Watts worked. "Your life is between you and God and I pray that he has mercy for you". His wife's body was found in a shallow grave nearby.

Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke described how Watts killed his wife and children at the sentencing hearing.

Chris Watts pleaded guilty to all of the charges against him: five counts of murder in the first degree; three counts of tampering with a deceased human body; and one count of unlawful termination of pregnancy.

Watts is expected to receive life in prison without the chance of parole.

"Our families have been needlessly broken by the deaths of Bella, Celeste, Nico, and Shan'ann", said his mom, Cindy Watts.

As a prosecutor detailed the injuries found on the bodies, Rzucek leaned forward, gasping. Prosecutors have said Shanann Watts' family consented to the plea deal. "Let me say that again, the man seated to my right smothered his daughters". Celeste had no visible injuries, he said.

Abu Dhabi Test: Pakistan dismiss New Zealand for 153 in first innings
Left-handed Raval was aggressive against Shah when New Zealand resumed on 56-1 and quickly wiped off the first innings deficit. The leg-spinner pitched it on the middle stump and turned it a long way to disturb the New Zealand skipper's woodwork.

At the end of July, Chris Watts told her that his divorce was official, Kessinger said in the report, which was published online last week.

Watts' own parents also spoke at his sentencing. "Your faithful wife trusted you".

'They loved us more than you will ever know because you don't know what love is. He kept his head down for much of the hearing, speaking only once to confirm that he did not want to make a statement before Judge Marcelo Kopcow imposed his sentence.

Watts is represented by the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender, which does not comment on pending cases.

Chris Watts' mother, Cindy Watts, called the crime an "absolute horror" for both families. More people filed into an overflow room to watch a video stream.

Police also learned that Christopher Watts was having an affair with a co-worker. Rourke said Watts talked with a real estate agent about selling the family's home, looked up secluded vacation spots and didn't seem interested in the self-help books his wife provided.

A friend reported the family missing in mid-August. Local police initially handled the search and soon sought support from Colorado investigators and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

A friend asked police to check on Shanann Watts on August 13 when she could not reach her and grew concerned that the 34-year-old who was pregnant with a third child missed a doctor's appointment.
