Dems urge Florida to break vote-count deadline to review all ballots

A Broward County judge challenged anyone who has evidence of fraud to file a report.

In the Senate race, Scott's lead over incumbent Democratic Sen.

Back in Florida, Nelson's campaign on Tuesday also filed a motion to intervene to dismiss a lawsuit by a local Democratic politician in Palm Beach County who trails a Republican in his House District race by 37 votes.

Florida's election recount of its Senate and governor's races is chugging along as more irregularities are uncovered.

At a press conference Tuesday on Capitol Hill, Nelson and Schumer stood together, calling on Scott to recuse himself from the recount.

Unlike Scott, former Congressman Ron DeSantis, whose gubernatorial election against Democrat Andrew Gillum is also undergoing a recount, has kept a lower profile despite his own vocal allegiance to Trump. If the statewide margin between the candidates after the machine recount is less than 0.25 percentage point - one vote for every 400 cast - the counties conduct a manual recount.

The ballot counting equipment used in Palm Beach County has been in use for over a decade, and the state's recount deadline is "irresponsible", she said.

The White House is again weighing in on the Florida Senate recount.

The results will be presented to the state's canvassing board, for final approval - that's scheduled for next week, pending court action. But Susan Bucher, the county's elected Supervisor of Elections, has been publicly skeptical that her staff will be able to complete the recount deadline for all races.

On Nov. 13, President Donald Trump criticized Sen. "He's doing this for the same reason he's been making false and panicked claims about voter fraud - he's anxious that when all the votes are counted he'll lose this election".

On Saturday, Secretary of State Ken Detzner, a Scott appointee, formally ordered recounts in the races for Senate, governor and agriculture commissioner.

Ceasefire sets in after worst flare-up in years between Palestine, Israel
The blockade has ravaged Gaza's economy, and Israel refuses to lift it unless Hamas disarms, a demand the militants reject. Israeli troops have killed more that 220 Palestinians during those confrontations, which have included border breaches.

Florida law stipulates that races separated by razor-thin margins trigger mandatory recounts.

He wrote: "The Florida Election should be called in favor of Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in that large numbers of new ballots showed up out of nowhere, and many ballots are missing or forged".

"I've worked here for about 15 years, and I have to say this the first time that this office or I have been under such attacks", Snipes told reporters Monday.

This weekend, when asked about why Broward County is lagging so far behind Miami-Dade, a comparable county, Broward's Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes responded: "Let me check, I'll check", but did not directly respond to the question.

"When will Bill Nelson concede in Florida?". His Facebook page has many references to the Confederacy and images of the Confederate battle flag, which Newsome said was an attempt to honor his family heritage.

"Disenfranchisement shows up with the president of the United States, the sitting governor of the state of Florida, the junior senator of the United States from the state of Florida when they take to Twitter, and Facebook and ... accuse the supervisor of elections, or an entire county for that matter, of fraud, of stuffing the ballot box, of doing everything they could do manipulate the outcome of the election without a shred of evidence".

"Overall, last Tuesday night was a very good night for Democrats".

"There is nobody who wants to serve this state more, I assure you, but I want to assure you whether it's me or the other person, I am going to fight with every fiber of my being not only to count the votes now to assure a better democratic process for people who come after us", Gillum said. In 1994, 18% saw the takeover led by Newt Gingrich and his Contract with America as a mandate for Republicans.

Gillum, who lost by 34,000 votes, out of 8 million cast (pending the upcoming statewide recount), is a kook's kook; he was youth director for an organization that indoctrinates our kids to believe that the US practices colonialism and genocide, and is chummy with a virulently anti-law enforcement group.

Officials are racing to complete the machine recount in Florida by the deadline on Thursday, although hand recounts could follow.
