The new ‘Game of Thrones’ season will premiere in April 2019

It's official: the end of "Game of Thrones" is coming in April.

Almost a year and a half after the last episode of Game of Thrones season 7 ended, HBO has finally shared a trailer and release windows for the eighth and final season of the hit series.

However, even though this will be the final season for Game of Thrones, HBO isn't going to let such an epic brand get away that easily.

Unfortunately, while the teaser did bring with it an actual launch period, it didn't include any footage from the final season.

The season seven finale of the show aired way back on August 27th, 2017.

The season will contain just six episodes, although they will reportedly be supersized - some as long as feature films.

While we now know the much-anticipated new season will arrive next April, HBO has yet to disclose a specific date. Every betrayal. Every risk.

Their most powerful moments are also depicted, with Daenerys triumphantly riding her dragon Drogon to wipe out a Lannister army; Cersei obliterating Great Sept of Baelor and all her enemies within; and Jon defiantly staring down the Night King beyond the Wall. Every oath. Every all #ForTheThrone, ' the intertitle read.
