Xiaomi entered France and Italy back in May and it has been in Spain for almost a year - where it is already established as the third most popular smartphone brand. This year, though, it would appear that things may take a turn for the better, as a new leak detailing Xiaomi's Android Pie roadmap surfaced earlier.

Xiaomi is here in the United Kingdom, and it really wants you to buy its stuff. The Mi 8 Pro was previously launched in China, and soon after, which the company started teasing the global roll-out of the phone, and considering India is one of the most important countries for Xiaomi, we expect the phone will be coming to the country soon.

As per our report, the Mi 8 Pro is indeed the Mi 8 Explorer Edition that was launched in China on May this year as opposed to this similarly named variant that was released in China a few months later. "It features a 6.21" AMOLED display with a notch that pushes a Full HD+ resolution.

Under the hood, it runs on a Snapdragon 660 processor and it comes in two spec options - 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The rear camera setup of the Mi 8 Pro comes with several features like Portrait mode with background blurring, Dual Pixel Autofocus, 4-axis optical image stabiliser, Single-tone flash, Low light enhancement, HDR imaging, Panorama mode, Burst mode, Face recognition, and AI Beautify. On the front, the handset bears a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
