Trump Rips Apart Reporters One By One, Including Absent Jim Acosta

"Honestly, I think you should let me run the country".

President Trump unloaded on CNN's senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta Friday morning; calling the reporter totally "unprofessional" and demanding he treat the office of the presidency with "respect".

Acosta calls the White House claim a "lie", and video of the incident on Wednesday shows that he only touched the intern on her arm as she tried to grab the microphone from him.

Trump has harshly criticized journalists across the board this week - he called Acosta a "rude, bad person" and said he was not smart, and he also mocked foreign reporters for their accents. Trump had called the reporter a "rude and bad person" after Acosta shot several questions at him during a post midterm election press conference. Acosta asked the US leader about his claim that Central American migrants walking through Mexico toward the southern USA border were "invading" the country. Instead, Acosta continued with a second question about the Russian investigation, which Trump shrugged off with another curt answer. You know, he gets paid to burst in, he's a very unprofessional guy.

While leaving the White House on Friday for a trip to France, the president said other journalists might be in jeopardy of losing their credentials. "I do think that they're trying to shut us down to some extent, inside the White House press corps".

Next on the docket was American Urban Radio Networks reporter April Ryan - a "loser," according to the president. Jim had his White House press credentials removed due to a fight over the microphone while at the same press conference.

The president said that the bad blood between him and the media was the fault of journalists showing insufficient deference.

On Wednesday, Trump accused Yamiche Alcindor, PBS NewsHour White House correspondent, of asking a "racist question" when she inquired about the public perception that he was "emboldening white nationalists" on the campaign trail. This is a very special place.

Ryan phoned in to CNN to respond to the President's comments.

Acosta and Trump have sparred numerous times, with neither man hiding their contempt for each other.

"What a stupid question you asked", Trump replied. "She doesn't know what the hell she is doing". "She intentionally disseminated doctored video footage to discredit a reputable journalist".

"Jim Acosta clearly never touched that White House intern. You're a very rude person", added Trump. "Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately because you can see for yourself what it is, perception is reality with this president".
