Users of the popular messaging site and app will be given the opportunity to delete a message after it has been sent.

Now, it remains to be seen when exactly Facebook will make the option to unsend messages available to everyone because "coming soon" doesn't tells us too much about that.

Facebook Messenger for iOS states that the ability to "unsend" messages will be coming soon the application.

The idea has been lobbied by Facebook since April after it was revealed the company had retracted messages sent by CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other company chief, TechRadar reported.

While the 10-minute window is rather unforgiving, the new feature will nonetheless be a welcome addition, although no specific time frame for the rollout has been announced.

Now, The Verge reports that people who use Facebook Messenger will have the option to take back the messages they wish they never sent-as long as they act quickly enough. Gmail actually holds the email in a que for the time interval chosen.
