Don't Arrest 'Sarkar' Director Till November 27: High Court To Police

AR Murugadoss directorial Sarkar came under the scanner after AIADMK found certain scenes objectionable.

Law Minister C Ve Shanmugham said certain scenes amounted to inciting violence and warned of action.

The second scene that will be edited from the movie is the director AR Murugadoss' cameo.

After removing the scene featuring Murugadoss and muting the character name of Varalakshmi, the film has been recensored and uploaded on the QUBE. In some places, the protestors resorted to tearing the banners of Vijay erected by the fans inside the theatre premises and shouting slogans demanding Murugadoss' arrest.

Cardinals reportedly not all that interested in Bryce Harper
The 2015 National League MVP, Harper hit.249 last season with 34 home runs and 100 RBIs as the Nationals missed the playoffs. Importantly for any future negotiations, Harper's deal would not be the largest in baseball history by average annual value.

While Sun Pictures, producers of the film, did not comment on the demand of AIADMK leaders, including Ministers, that the controversial scenes be dropped, Tirupur Subramaniam, a prominent distributor and president, Tamil Nadu Exhibitors' Association, said that the scenes critical of the government's marquee schemes would be removed from the matinee show onwards on Friday.

They also opposed the usage of the name "Komalavalli" for the antagonist, played by Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, claiming that Komalavalli was Jayalalithaa's birth name and that the movie shows her in a bad light.

Meanwhile, the Madras High Court ordered the Tamil Nadu police not to arrest "Sarkar" movie Director A.R. Murugadoss who had approached it seeking anticipatory bail. If they (the makers) remove these scenes, then it is good. These items were the freebies announced by former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa when she came to power in 2011. Produced by Sun TV Network chairman Kalanithi Maran on behalf of Sun Pictures, "Sarkar" starring Vijay and Keerthy Suresh in the lead was released on Tuesday.
