Fitzpatrick and Howard connected for another score in the closing seconds of the half to cut the Carolina lead to 35-14. Newton has had a hot hand over the last two games and will look to exploit the Tampa secondary early and often. "We've got to play better football, more consistent football".

Within those first two quarters, the team was able to get five touchdowns, showing undeniable speed, agility and cohesion on the part of the offensive line.

While their performance on the defensive side of the ball has been paltry, the Bucs are ranked No. 1 in both total offense (476.6 ypg) and passing yards (376.3 ypg).

The Buccaneers can expect to see a heavy dose of speedy rookie wide receiver D.J. Moore. Since resuming as the starter, Winston has been less than impressive and he reached a new low as he was benched after throwing his fourth interception of the game last week against the Bengals.

The Buccaneers came back with four touchdowns between the third and fourth quarters, but a call reversal on one of those and another Panthers TD left the score at 42-28.

The loss dropped the Bucs to 2-3 in games started by Fitzpatrick. He almost rallied the Bucs back last week against Cincinnati after replacing Winston, but the comeback fell short with the Bengals holding on for a 37-34 win. Turnovers have become a way of life for Winston, who has now thrown thirteen interceptions over a five-game stretch dating back to last season.

Defensive end Julius Peppers helped Bradberry out, too.

"It's frustrating, but that's on the players".

Carolina faces a tough test this week, as they're on the road to play the Steelers, who are ranked No. 6. "When you play young guys, they are going to make mistakes".

B Linebackers: The Panthers seem to struggle to contain the middle of the field and a rare missed tackle by Luke Kuechly led to a big Bucs gain.

In case his 17-23 record in Tampa Bay isn't clear enough, Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter has not been very successful since taking over from Lovie Smith.

A Special teams: This group is usually consistent, and today was no different. "A lot of teams don't switch because they have an untested backup or they're afraid to put their backup in there - and we don't have either of those".
