White House suspends pass of CNN's Acosta

White House suspends pass of CNN's Acosta

"Secret Service just informed me I can not enter the grounds for my 8 pm hit", Acosta tweeted Wednesday evening.

The incident followed an interaction between United States President Donald Trump and Acosta, where Trump called the reporter a "rude and bad person" after he asked him several questions during a post midterm election press conference. "This conduct is absolutely unacceptable".

He said she was rude for interrupting another reporter, though he did briefly answer one of Ms Ryan's questions.

President Trump faced a very antagonistic media on the day after the midterm elections, offering a soft tone about his desire to work across the aisle with Nancy Pelosi and Democrats in the House.

"Only they would attack the President for not supporting a free press in the midst of him taking 68 questions from 35 different reporters", she added.

They began sparring after Acosta asked Trump about the caravan of migrants heading from Latin America to the southern USA border.

Iran draws sting from oil prices
In a major development, India has managed to keep Iran's Chabahar Port project outside the purview of the sanctions reimposed by the Trump administration on November 5.

Trump responded: "I'm not a big fan of yours either, to be honest". You are not my enemy.

Acosta was questioning Trump following the midterm elections, which saw the Democrats seize control of the House of Representatives - making life even more hard for the White House. The way you treat [White House spokesperson] Sarah Sanders is frightful. Later, via Twitter, she said that she has interviewed white nationalists who say they are more excited by Trump than they have been about other presidents.

"This is great news for Jim Acosta", Stirewalt said. "You are rude, awful person", he yelled. Among the issues that reporters brought up, Acosta asked for a comment on the refugee caravan heading for the U.S. -Mexico border.

"It's not an invasion", Acosta instructed Trump at a White House news conference focused on the results of the midterm elections.

Stirewalt said that either way, the episode hurts the political discourse as the Acosta-Trump feud overshadowed "a bunch of good questions" from reporters like Fox News' John Roberts and CBS News' Major Garrett. "You and I have a difference of opinion". Trump then said he wanted immigrants to "come in legally". Once Acosta relented, the president began to berate the reporter, saying, "CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them".

"Honestly, I think you should let me run the country". The US conspiracy theorist website Infowars claimed "Acosta clearly uses his left arm to physically resist/restrain the woman", while its contributor Paul Joseph Watson, recently adopted by Ukip, alleged "Acosta overpowered her".
