Breaking Bad movie sequel in the works

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan will helm a two-hour project based on the TV series that first aired TEN years ago (we know, we can't believe it either).

Critic Dan Barrett, from the online newsletter Always Be Watching, agreed, likening it to an announcement this week that AMC, the network that aired Breaking Bad in the U.S., would soon be making three films based on its popular TV series The Walking Dead. Instead, it seems more likely that Aaron Paul would be the lead in any feature-length outing, with the series finale seeming to leave Jesse Pinkman's future wide open. I loved Breaking Bad, and I love its prequel series Better Call Saul. Stay tuned for more news about the Breaking Bad movie.

Breaking Bad, the crime drama about a high school chemistry teacher (Bryan Cranston) who begins selling meth to secure money for his family after he's diagnosed with terminal cancer, originally ran for five seasons on U.S. network AMC.

News broke yesterday that series creator Vince Gilligan is writing and executive producing a Breaking Bad movie. However, an unnamed source close to the production has allegedly confirmed that the film is in fact Breaking Bad.

Brett Hampton missed his maiden List A century by just five runs, while Joe Carter went on to complete his ton. The Bay of Plenty pair of Hampton and Carter combined to add 178 for the sixth wicket after linking up at 95-5.

Even five years after it wrapped, the acclaimed series - about a high school chemistry teacher turned meth manufacturer - remains a worldwide cultural phenomenon due in part to streaming (the entire series is available on Stan) where new fans continue to discover it. The production house is expected to begin filming this month in New Mexico where the New Mexico Film Office confirmed that a project titled Greenbrier is scheduled for filming.

Breaking Bad, the AMC drama that ended its hugely successful run in 2013, is now reportedly said to be getting a feature film.

Breaking Bad is available to stream on Netflix.

Basically, all we know right now is that the movie - which has apparently been floating around under the working title (or is it a fake title?) of Greenbrier - is apparently in the works!
