Teen Accused Of Killing Mom And Burying Her Body Over Bad Grade

Police in Volusia County, Fla., have charged Cleavenger's 15-year-old son, Gregory Logan Ramos, with strangling his mother in the early hours of Friday after the pair argued about a D grade he'd gotten in school.

Ramos confessed to using a wheelbarrow to move Gail's body into the family van and then drove to River City Church 1.5 miles away where he buried her in a fire pit.

Chitwood said Ramos faces murder charges.

Ramos then teamed up with his close friends from University High School, Dylan Ceglarek and Brian Porras, both 17, to make it seem as though Cleavenger was killed during a break-in.

Police discovered Cleavenger's body in the church fire pit early Saturday, Newsweek reported.

Once the evidence piled up against him, detectives say the boy alleged his mother was abusive and he "had to kill [his mother] before she killed him". Ramos was a member of the Orange City Police Explorers and took criminal justice classes in which he studied crime scenes, reported the Orlando Sentinel.

Chitwood described the schoolboy as "soulless", said he showed no remorse, and is "among the top three sociopaths I have ever encountered".

An unidentified military official said those abducted, including the school's principal, "were taken to the bush [remote area]". Cameroon's North-West and South-West regions have been hit by a secessionist rebellion in recent years.

The boy left to school, and after returning home from school on Friday, he told deputies that his mother had vanished.

"The case we worked tonight was one of the most disturbing and saddest I've seen in my career", Sheriff Chitwood said in a statement on the Volusia County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

A judge on Sunday ordered a 15-year-old DeBary teenager, whom authorities said confessed to strangling his mother, to remain in juvenile detention until the next hearing in the case, according to a local state attorney's office.

Police say Ramos and his mother got into a awful argument after he came home with a "D" in one of his subjects.

Authorities said Ramos wasn't emotional in his confession. All our hearts break for this family, ' he added on Twitter.

Greg Ramos wore a blank expression in court as he was arraigned for first-degree murder.

None of the defendants entered any pleas and it wasn't immediately clear if they would be tried as adults.
