Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Direct Promises Tons of Gameplay

Ultimate, which is set for release in December. Ultimate, it's time to hear more about the upcoming fighting game from directly from Nintendo.

Ultimate is almost a month away and Nintendo is seemingly done teasing us.

There's one major item on the start menu that Nintendo hasn't revealed yet - probably a story or solo mode of some description. By comparison the last Smash-focused Nintendo Direct was just over 25 minutes, and it revealed the Castlevania stages and characters, Chrom and Dark Samus, Isabelle, and King K. Rool. The Direct is estimated to last for 40 minutes and will as always, feature the game's director Masahiro Sakurai delivering all of the latest news for Ultimate. "We are going to see the final base roster but for me that is not even the big thing of this direct".

But this is not that important, because RDR 2 has the title of the largest weekend entertainment launch of all-time. It has a Metacritic score of 97, which makes it one of the most critically-acclaimed games of this generation.

Nintendo Switch owners will find out the final few details about Super Smash Bros Ultimate this week.
