Spotify premium users get better navigation, personalised search and endless Artist Radio

Spotify announced the update on Thursday, which brings with it plenty of oft-requested changes, more personalization, and more refinements to expand the platform's music discovery features. However, do note that the new update is restricted to just Premium members.

"We've refined the navigation to help people quickly find what they're looking for". A redesigned Search page is described as your "new one-stop destination for artists, albums, podcasts, and more", supplying an ever-changing list of your "top genres", among others. With this, the user can search for their favourite artist or song and select one of the Artist Radio playlists.

While premium users already have access to Artist radio, it's being expanded to be endless, using those same magical algorithms to tune the station to your tastes.

A neat new feature added to Spotify's Radio functionality is the ability to save these curated playlists to your Library and make them available offline by downloading them for later listening. Now, when you open the app, you'll find three tabs: Home, Search, and Your Library. It has also streamlined navigation as well, making it easier to get from one point to another within the app.

Is London Paddington station open after yesterday's electric problems?
Engineers worked overnight to try to resolve the issue by installing new wires before trains resumed on Thursday. This means passengers trying to get back to Reading, Berkshire, could face cancellations and alterations.

In its latest app update, Spotify, the popular music streaming service, has released a bunch of new features for its premium members.

"Browse", which mainly highlighted curated playlists and showed music by genre is now based on the search page. The Radio option now appears after you search for a particular song or artist.

Initial updates to Spotify Premium will begin to roll out to Premium subscribers on both iOS and Android at the same time - welcome to 2018!
