Jose Mourinho Pulled Away From Melee Following Late Chelsea Equaliser

As if the heart-stopping equalizer on the 96th minute by Chelsea's Ross Barkley was not enough.

There was less than 40 seconds remaining of the six minutes of added time when Barkley scored.

Mourinho stayed in his seat but, after Ianni ran past him, reacted to something the Italian said and had to be restrained.

Twitter exploded after the game.

"I'm not annoyed with anything". What happened with (Maurizio) Sarri's assistant, Sarri was the first one to come to me and say he will resolve it. But then the young fellow came and he also apologised and I told him: "I accept your apology".

The broadcaster once worked at Sky Sports alongside Andy Gray but was forced to leave his post for sunnier climes after being embroiled in a sexism scandal over comments he made about the Premier League match official Sian Massey, among others.

After the final whistle he held up three fingers to signify the number of league titles he won across two spells at Stamford Bridge.

Sarri said his side lost out to United in the physical battle as the game wore on.

Perry Funeral Home: Unburied fetuses, infants removed from second Detroit funeral home
The grisly discovery was made at Perry Funeral Homes after police executed a search warrant to search the premises. More than 60 human foetuses have been found stashed in cardboard boxes and freezers at funeral home in MI .

Asked if he had received the same level of respect he had shown to Chelsea, Mourinho said: "No, I don't think [I did], but that's not my responsibility".

"But the reactions of the fans is up to them".

Ianni is likely to face an FA charge, with Dean expected to include the incident in his match report and Sarri confirmed that his assistant could be disciplined. I have seen the match from the bench and now I have to analyse it. 'A physical match and United are better than us in a physical match. But I have that situation immediately.

A member of Chelsea's coaching staff celebrated wildly in front of the United bench and clearly angered Mourinho, who leapt to his feet and was soon in the middle of a melee that included security staff and, before long, players from both sides.

It was something that Manchester City also displayed on numerous occasions on their way to winning last season's Premier League, so Chelsea will not underestimate the value of Ross Barkley's late, late strike. "We always tried to play, there was no time-wasting".

The second half was much scrappier than the first but Cardiff retook the lead against the team promoted alongside them last season with 65 minutes on the clock, Callum Paterson converting, and they sealed the win late on when Kadeem Harris scored from close range amid huge celebrations.

This was not a team that has given up on its manager and the manager has certainly not given up on his team.
