Book sale this weekend at DeKalb Public Library

Holmes County Friends of Library used book sale will be at the Central Library of the Holmes County District Public Library, 3102 Glen Drive, Millersburg, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 and 27. Visitors are asked to park in the far northwest area of the parking lot and use Entrance B.

The regular book sale will continue from 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

A bargain book sale will offer deals and entertainment for all ages through this weekend. Then, on Sunday, get a bag of books for just $5! Patrons will be charged a $10 fee to bring in a scanner at any sale.

The acquisition of Endocyte is planned to be funded through available cash. Endocyte's board has unanimously approved the acquisition deal.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit Friends of the Library, a volunteer, board-guided, membership organization that acts as a booster club for the library. As of August 2018, the Friends have contributed $12,870 toward summer reading and other library programs. To join, visit www.mchenrylibrary.org and search the website for "Friends of the Library".

The Friends of the Staunton Library is a non-profit organization that provides volunteer support and raises funds that enhance the programming, technology and collections of the Staunton Public Library.
