Austin Aries Impact Wrestling Contract Allegedly Ended at Bound For Glory

IMPACT Wrestling are taping their first television tapings since Bound For Glory aired last night on pay-per-view. Aries hit the Starship Pain finisher and pinned Aries to become champion.

After losing to Johnny Impact in the main event, Aries immediately got off the mat, spit at his opponent, flipped off Executive Vice President Don Callis, and flipped off the crowd on his way to the back.

Aries is not at tonight's Impact Wrestling tapings, as noted on Monday's Wrestling Observer Live.

Petey says Austin never expressed unhappiness during the day of the event over being booked to lose and when asked about the ex-champ's demeanor he described it as "fine ... it's Austin Aries".

All four SHR drivers are in the playoffs and trying to position themselves to advance next week into the third round. Six laps later, Enfinger was knocked from the lead by Gilliland's father, David, who was in second.

"Austin Aries' contract is done", said Williams. That's all I'll say.

With those limitations in mind, Impact served up a flawed but relatively entertaining three hour show, which kept bloat minimal even if there were two undeniable stinkers among the eight-match card.

It remains to be seen whether or not Austin Aries' actions at the end of the PPV were part of the script or not, as the entire feud between Aries and Impact, leading up to Bound For Glory, has towed the line between fiction and reality.
