Razer Phone 2 brings faster performance, Razer Chroma - Mobile Phones

In a Hollywood event loft saturated in green light, Razer launched a must-have accessory for serious Android gamers on Wednesday.

For the optics, the Razer Phone 2 has a dual rear camera setup of 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.75 wide-angle lens, optical image optimisation (OIS), Dual PDAF and 12-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.6 aperture telephoto lens, Sony IMX Sensors, dual-tone LED flash. On the topic of outward appearance, the phone now has a glass back which facilitates wireless charging, and also round the back you will find the Razer Chroma 16.7 million colour lit Razer logo. The phone measures 158.5 x 78.99 x 8.5 mm in terms of dimensions.

Looking below the familiar exterior yields more similarities with Razer's first gaming smartphone; 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of UFS storage with a microSD card slot are still part of the package, with the only difference being that the phone's memory is now expandable by up to 1TB (not that it matters since you won't be able to buy 1TB microSD cards for some time anyway).

The first Razer Phone was an interesting handset with a slick 120Hz refresh rate to make gaming and swiping through apps feel nice and smooth, while solid speakers helped give the handset some proper audio chops.

The relevant legal paperwork are said to be in the final stages at the chambers of the country's Attorney-General. Its promises included eradicating corruption and bolstering human rights.

The design of the Raiju Mobile is hybrid of the Razer Wolverine controller and the Raiju PlayStation 4 controller. Just a few days ago, Google unveiled the Pixel 3 phones, practically confirming every rumor that we heard in the past few months. The company says it has upgraded the front-facing speakers on the device to be even louder and clearer, as well as support for Dolby Atmos. Razer has also increased the brightness of the display by 50% compared to its predecessor.

The new phone will also continue to have industry-leading features such as its 120hz display. The Snapdragon 845 in this phone runs at the standard peak speed of 2.8 GHz on its four performance cores. The device is $100 more expensive than last year's Razer Phone, though.

The Razer Phone 2 will be available from US$799 in mirror black and satin black finishes. While a firm global release date has yet to be attached to the new Android gaming handset, the Razer Phone 2 should start shipping to customers no later than early November.

Also, it wouldn't be gaming hardware without RGB lighting.

Cameras have been improved in this second generation device.
