Juventus set to make offer for Liverpool target Aaron Ramsey

Juventus set to make offer for Liverpool target Aaron Ramsey

The Welsh star is set to leave Arsenal on a free transfer next summer having failed to agree terms with the Gunners on a new deal and it appears as if a move to Merseyside could be on the cards according to the latest show of betting.

An improved four-year deal had been sorted but before the final version was written up Arsenal pulled out a fortnight ago.

Former Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis is set to play an important role in convincing Aaron Ramsey to consider a move to AC Milan, it has been claimed.

The Serie A giants are depending on the South African's prior relationship with Ramsey in order to land the 27-year-old midfielder on a free transfer next summer.

"Of course [I will see out the season], yeah", Ramsey said after Wales' 4-1 loss to Spain on Thursday.

But asked if he was disappointed that there was no contract on the table, Ramsey said: "That's a decision they [Arsenal] have made and things happen in football". 'I am contracted to Arsenal and I am going to do my best now this season to try and achieve something special'.

"Everything has been going great with the club", he said.

'So I just have to carry on playing my football and do my best for Arsenal this season and I'll leave the rest with the club now'. And you get the sense that talk about Ramsey stems less from the fact that United want him and more because it has been recently confirmed that he will not be playing under Unai Emery next year.

Arsenal legend Paul Merson has taken a swipe at his former club despite their recent impressive performance winning their last six Premier League games. "So if he does go, somebody is getting a very good player".
