Kavanaugh has denied the claims against him and in a Fox News interview Monday, said that he was a virgin in high school and for "many years thereafter" as a defense against the accusations.

He repeated the line multiple times at various points: "I've never sexually assaulted anyone, in high school or otherwise".

A second woman has come forward, alleging the US Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her.

Kavanaugh appeared to well up with emotion when he went on to say: "Starting with the women who knew me when I was 14 years old".

His comments, made as he entered United Nations headquarters in NY, were his first since a report Sunday night on a second allegation of sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh.

Kavanaugh also vowed that he will not withdraw his nomination.

"I'm not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process", he added.

"I can tell you that some women do not come forward because they fear not being believed, and a lot of other women don't come forward because of other women who make false accusations", Conway said.
