Pokémon Developer Game Freak Announces TOWN for Nintendo Switch

Pokémon Developer Game Freak Announces TOWN for Nintendo Switch

Town appeared as a part of last night's rescheduled Nintendo Direct, not to be confused with SMP's 2012 simulator, Towns.

Proceeding the trailer, a description is shown for the game which reads: "a new story in a village with a secret to hide". On the surface, it's a pretty ordinary town, besides the fact that it keeps being attacked by very big monsters. At first glance, the visual aesthetic of Town feels reminiscent of other JRPG games, including the latest Pokemon titles from Game Freak.

You as a player would be required to defend the villagers from such horrendous monsters in a turn-based role-playing game format.

Besides TOWN and countless Pokémon titles, Game Freak has also developed such games as Tembo the Badass Elephant, Pocket Card Jockey, HarmoKnight, and Drill Dozer.

Australia's commissioner Nick Gales rejected "the narrative of underlying dysfunction and intolerance" suggested by Japan. Some members have voiced fears that Japan and pro-whaling nations could leave the IWC after the meeting ends on Friday.

Town, or whatever it might be called leading up to release, will launch in 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.

Game Freak has will release their newly announced RPG in 2019 for Nintendo Switch. Additionally, players can reportedly summon other townspeople to help battle against monsters.

We certainly didn't see this game coming, but Town sounds interesting even before you realize that this game is being worked on by an incredibly talented group of designers and developers.
