Over 200 homes and community structures are slated for demolition in the area, where almost 1,400 Palestinians reside. Israeli border police arrived before dawn on Thursday and dismantled the protest camp, according to witnesses.

The PDP in a statement released to newsmen said "Our investigations reveal that the Federal Government, which earlier made efforts to defend Mrs. Adeosun, has already perfected a plot to help her to evade prosecution following fears that she could open up on the big corruption going on in the financial sector under the Buhari administration".

Ahmed before her new appointment was the Minister of State, Budget and National Planning.

The 58-year-old is also a former Exective Secretary of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI). Many have taken to social media to ask that she be prosecuted by the appropriate authorities according to the rule of law.
