With Jerry Kramer finally getting his decades-overdue induction to the Hall of Fame this year, the attention among Packer fans has shifted especially to players like Sharpe and Butler, who probably should have been inducted already but have still been awaiting their call. Arguably Glover's most productive game came in 2000 when New Orleans faced the defending Super Bowl champion, the St. Louis the wild card game.

Tony Gonzalez, who is the most accomplished tight end in NFL history, Ed Reed, Champ Bailey and London Fletcher are first-year eligible players among the 102 modern-era nominees for the class of 2019 for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

He finished his career with the most career receptions (1,325), receiving yards (15,127) and 100-yard receiving games (31) by a tight end in National Football League history, and the second-most touchdown receptions (111) behind only the Los Angeles Chargers' Antonio Gates (114). Gonzalez spent his final five seasons with Atlanta, finishing with 111 touchdown catches and 15,127 yards receiving. Reed won a Super Bowl in the 2012 season. The 15 modern-era finalists will be joined by the senior finalist, Johnny Robinson, and the contributor finalists, Pat Bowlen and Gil Brandt.

Losing Speed, Tropical Storm Florence Will Continue Slowly Through The Carolinas
Cooper cited a National Weather Service forecast that said almost the entire state could be covered in several feet of water. It will likely weaken more on Friday, with "rapid weakening forecast over the weekend", the hurricane center said.

The list of 102 will be narrowed down to 25 semifinalists in November.

According to the official release: "Eighteen finalists will be presented to the full 48-member Pro Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee during its annual meeting on "Selection Saturday", the day before Super Bowl LIII". Inductions will be in early August in Canton, Ohio.
