Browns' offense, Taylor must play better moving forward

Coach Jackson made a amusing face when a reporter asked him whether Tyrod Taylor is on a long leash after his shaky debut as the 29th Cleveland Browns starting quarterback since 1999.

But after the Browns forced a Pittsburgh punt and began a drive at their 36, Gordon was lined up to the far left before Taylor dropped back to pass before scrambling for a 6-yard gain.

"Fine tuning some of the details in the passing game, as well as in the running game", said quarterback Tyrod Taylor, "Guys understood where things went wrong". His job is to get the offense to play the best that it can play, but it takes more than just him. It takes more than just him. "And for us, we've got to take off in a big way".

Gordon, who could be targeted a few more times on Sunday expects veteran QB Tyrod Taylor to have a bounce back game against the Saints.

Jackson did not absolve Taylor of all the blame.

"Not good enough", Jackson said. Does he have to do his job better?

"Got to throw it further", Jackson said.

There are, however, bright spots in certain settings where policies and programs have made it easier to eat well and exercise. These are in total lower earnings and rural areas, together with many communities of shade, the scream effectively-known.

"It can be a distraction for the defense to be focused on me and allowing Jarvis to get open, allowing Rashard to get open, allowing the run game to develop", Gordon said.

But if the Browns aren't happy with their quarterback, they will have a long weekend to contemplate changes after their September 20 Thursday night game against the New York Jets, whose rookie quarterback, Sam Darnold, the No. 3 overall pick, led them to a 48-17 victory over the Detroit Lions on Monday night.

Excluding the sacks, Taylor rushed for 77 yards on eight attempts. Jackson said the third-year defender "may miss some time" with the injury. I have all of the confidence in the world that we can do that moving forward.

-WR Josh Gordon started Sunday's game even though Jackson had said last week that Gordon would not start.

"Definitely wish some things could just be altered in the course of the game", Gordon said September 12 as the Browns ramped up preparation for the September 16 game in New Orleans.

He wasn't supposed to start as punishment for missing training camp, but Gordon was on the field for the first offensive play because of a "miscommunication", according to coach Hue Jackson. Gordon had one reception for 17 yards.
