Hugo Lloris offered to quit as Tottenham Hotspur captain?

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has denied having any concerns about the form and fitness of England forward Harry Kane, despite some fears of burnout.

Spurs were second best for long periods at Wembley as Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino scored either side of half-time, but a goal from substitute Erik Lamela set up a grandstand finale.

But that wasn't to be the last of their shocks, as Son Heung-min went down under a heavy and rather clumsy challenge from Sadio Mane in the dying embers of the game.

"I don't want to praise him too much because if so his head [grows big]!"

Klopp believes Kane is not alone in needing time off, and when asked if it is a good time to play Spurs, he told Sky Sports News: "That's just rubbish".

"I am disappointed with the result. It's only early in the season, we need to improve a lot".

Now English Publication, The Sun claim that Terry also has an offer from London to become a first-team coach with the Blues. The former England worldwide was reportedly set to join Russian outfit Spartak Moscow, but that move broke down.

Pochettino said that Lloris, 31, had expressed great contrition at his conviction for the offence on August 24 and will now have a period on the sidelines with what the club say is a thigh injury sustained in the win over Manchester United three days after the driving offence was committed.

Jurgen Klopp has rubbished claims Liverpool's game against an injury-hit Tottenham - live on Sky Sports - has come at the flawless time, and played down the concerns regarding Harry Kane's fitness. "There may be a chance this weekend but we will see according to the progress of the week".

I think he is fit. "It is a moment to be calm and clear with the assessment, help the team to improve and be more consistent in our performance". I try to find the solution.

I think it is a situation that is under control I think but we respect all opinion and maybe some opinions are different to us.

For me, there is no doubt that he is one of the best strikers in the world.
