In terms of worldwide acclaim the list of Manchester City greats isn't overly extensive, yet David Silva easily fits into that category, and the Spaniard has admitted that it was his parents' divorce that made clear to him it was time to leave Spain for England back in 2010.

The Premier League champions announced record revenues of £500.5 million this afternoon, meaning they are the only British football club other than United to have turned over more than £500 million in one year.

"Despite the fact that they [Manchester City] have got perhaps the most expensive squad, their turnover to wages ratio is just 52 per cent and sort of bang on where it should be", said Bick.

The annual report for the 2017-18 financial year was released Thursday showing the Abu Dhabi-owned club made a profit of 10.4 million pounds.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich also boasted revenues of more than £500m last season.

She called on Beijing to permit the United Nations rights office access to "all regions" of China and embark on a discussion of the issues.

Chief executive Ferran Soriano said he was "proud of our performances and of the trophies won", adding that the 2017-2018 season in which the team was crowned EPL champions was a "remarkable campaign". He looks to the future saying, "We recognise that the sporting challenge continues".

"We will always strive for more". Our journey is not complete and we have more targets to fulfil.

The club's facilities have also been transformed with state-of-the-art training facilities.
