Polar's newest Global Positioning System heart rate smartwatch lasts for 40 hours

Polar's newest Global Positioning System heart rate smartwatch lasts for 40 hours

For your 550 bucks, you also get a 1.2-inch always-on color touch display with 240 x 240 resolution and Gorilla Glass protection, as well as a relatively large battery rated at up to 40 hours of endurance in "training mode", with both the Global Positioning System and heart rate monitor continuously on.

A whole host of cutting-edge sport technologies have been integrated into this new sleek wearable, which offers advanced metrics and coaching features such as Training Load Pro, Recovery Pro and wrist-based running power - it's the world's first watch to offer this.

As part of its #BloodSweatAndData launch, Polar also announced the Polar Vantage M, an all-in-one multisport watch that offers advanced performance metrics and Smart Coaching features at a lower price of £249.

Running Power is another advanced technology unique to the Vantage V, using Global Positioning System and barometer data to complement the gadget's heart rate monitor, helping you maintain a steady effort level during a long run. Skin contact sensors are also used to help Polar achieve accurate, timely, and reliable heart rate measurements. The headline of that pack is Polar's Running Power, a metric popularised through the likes of footpods that now comes to the wrist to unify several pieces of data into one number.

The two watches also tout more more accurate heart rate monitoring that uses multi-layer optical sensing, electrodes and accelerometers to get both faster and more accurate heartbeat readings.

The Polar Vantage M has numerous same features but lacks the ability to track running power.

NAFTA Talks To Resume This Week
The governing Liberal Party is holding its caucus retreat in Saskatoon on Wednesday and Thursday and it's not known whether Ms. She said she spoke with Lighthizer over the weekend and they agreed it would be useful for them to meet again face to face.

"For added measure, Recovery Pro provides a holistic understanding of the balance between training and recovery by measuring daily and long-term recovery".

The Polar Vantage M includes some of the same features as the Vantage V, including the Polar Precision Prime heart rate technology.

The Vantage V will be available for $499.99 with black, white, and orange color options available. There's also "Polar Flow Coach", which is designed to let coaches create training calendars. The battery is advertised to last up to 30 hours on the Vantage M.

The Vantage V has a touchscreen and physical buttons along with a fixed, bulky wrist strap for $500, while the $280 Vantage M has a more easily swappable strap and no touchscreen.

Polar Vantage M and Vantage V pre-orders are underway now, with deliveries scheduled to begin sometime in November.
