Alabama tops preseason AP poll; Penn State 10th, WVU 17th

For the second consecutive season, Oklahoma is ranked No. 7 in the preseason Associated Press college football poll.

Michigan State is ranked at No. 11, while Michigan is ranked at No. 14 in the first poll. Each week, he takes you inside the mind of an AP Top 25 voter for insight into the process, noteworthy debates, poll history and more. The Coaches' Poll was released earlier this month.

UCF has appeared in the AP Top 25 poll 22 previous times. The team with the highest point total leads the rankings.

Djokovic wins Cincy title to complete Masters matched set
Novak Djokovic has broken new ground in tennis history after dispatching Roger Federer to win the Cincinnati Open. He has won 13 Grand Slams- 6 Australian Opens, 2 US Opens, 4 Wimbledon titles, and one French Open.

Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Wisconsin and Ohio State round out the top five.

Florida State wound up at No. 19. It was also the lowest preseason ranking FSU has opened with since the team was ranked No. 20 to open up the 2010 season - Jimbo Fisher's first year as head coach.

Oklahoma opens the season September 1 at home against Florida Atlantic. The Crimson Tide are coming off of a 13-1 season that ended with a national title.
