Daniel Bryan

During a recent appearance on Sam Roberts' Wrestling Podcast, Bryan poured cold water on the prospect of leaving the company, indicating that he could possibly resign before SummerSlam.

If there's one superstar now on the WWE roster which fans are desperate to see the company lock down to a new deal, it's Daniel Bryan. He was cleared to compete again in March, then fought in his first match in three years at WrestleMania 34, and is now set to face long-time rival The Miz at SummerSlam.

He said: "I think at this point it would be 90-plus percent".

In the very same game he was accused of giving Loris Karius concussion, and has had multiple run-ins with Jurgen Klopp ever since.

Bryan noted that he has not yet signed a new WWE deal, but added the following, h/t to Pro Wrestling Sheet for the transcription. The reality is that's the probability. With Chris Jericho wrestling for various promotions around the world while remaining a WWE guy, many have wondered if Bryan could follow a similar path.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Daniel Bryan hasn't put pen to paper on a new contract with WWE, but both sides "have reached an agreement on most of the key issues". "But the way wrestling world is right now you can't do that and luckily I have a ton of dream matches I wanna do in WWE".
