OPPO\'s R17 mid-ranger officially unveiled with impressive specs

The latest development comes days after the handset surfaced on TENAA and spotted in some early leaks. It features 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and comes Streamer Blue as well as Neon Purple colour options. The smartphone will become available starting August 18 in China, and there is no word on the pricing, or release date in India.

Coming to the specifications, the Oppo R17 features a 6.4-inch full HD+ display with 1080x2280 pixel resolution and 91.5% aspect ratio. The R17 will be power an octa-core Snapdragon chipset, but it's still unknown whether this will be a Snapdragon 670 or Snapdragon 710 chipset. There will be a dual-camera setup on the rear with a 16MP sensor paired with another sensor though it's not clear what that second sensor will be. The front of the device is home to a 25MP selfie shooter with Sony IMX576 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The phone will indeed bring an edge-to-edge display with a unique water droplet-like notch that will also be seen on the Oppo F9 Pro. There are also various preset scenes to capture enhanced shots. For the Oppo R17, the company also partnered with Corning. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type C. They've been featured in Chinese handsets since the start of this year, and if there's an under-the-glass sensor included in the OnePlus 6T, we might see the feature push other Android phone makers to include it in their phones.

Trump signs bill named for Sen. McCain, doesn't mention him
The bill is aimed at rebuilding the USA military by authorizing a total of $717 billion for military funding over the next year. Under the new law, $616.9 billion is authorized for the base Pentagon budget in fiscal 2019, which starts October 1.

It remains to be seen if OnePlus will opt to include a rear-facing fingerprint scanner on the OnePlus 6T, as was the case with the OnePlus 6, or will the company opt to utilize an in-display fingerprint scanner. It is backed by a 3,500mAh battery with Oppo's VOOC fast charging technology which delivers two hours of battery life with five minutes of charge.

There's a lot of reason to believe that the Oppo R17 design will bleed over into the OnePlus 6T.
