Sony's Marvel Universe Plans - Every Movie Currently Happening

The image also gives us a good look at the white, veiny accents on Venom's body, which will serve as a stand-in of sorts for the traditional white spider symbol from the comics. "Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters" is just a clunky mouthful, but its clear why the studio would want to go with it.

That hasn't stopped the studio from moving ahead on their other Spidey spin-offs however, with news having come last week that a Kraven the Hunter film is now in the works, and that Cindy Moon's Silk - another pivotal Spidey character - will be joining the villain in a feature of her own. It is set for release on October 5th.

But the million dollar question still remains: will Sony's Marvel movies connect with the MCU? Any Spider-Man movie will carry a PG-13 rating because the wall-crawler is more family friendly, and if Venom is too dark and gory, it might preclude other film match-ups, not just with Peter Parker's alter-ego, but also with other members of the extended Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). A much neater approach would be to take the same path with these SUMC films as with Spider-Man where Sony retains the rights, but Marvel co-produces and everything exists within one cinematic universe.

Omarosa Claims Donald Trump Used Racial Slurs in White House
White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders called Trump's former ally and aide a liar. George Conway has not shied away from criticizing Trump on Twitter.

"We believe Black Cat is enough of her own character with a great backstory and a canon of material to draw from to justify her own film", said Sanford Panitch, president of Columbia Pictures.

According to a deep-dive into the current Sony situation from Variety, the company is working to prepare movies based on two more characters from its Marvel Comics library. They are extending that relationship with Spider-Man sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home. The status of spin-offs Silver & Black and Nightwatch were, however, in doubt - until now. Are you excited for what Sony has planned for their Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters? However, she will remain as a producer for the upcoming Black Cat and Silver Sable solo films.

Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will mark Miles Morales' feature film debut and Peter Parker will be on hand to mentor the young hero as he begins his superhero career.
