Don't get excited about anyone in Derrius Guice's absence

He entered off the bench and, barring injury, should do so in the regular season.

Washington Redskins rookie running back Derrius Guice tore his ACL and is out for the season, the team announced on Friday. He was initially reported to have been diagnosed with an MCL sprain.

Guice was injured in Washington's preseason opener at New England on Thursday night. This is a huge blow to a Washington offense that was expecting big things from Guice, the No. 59 overall pick in this year's draft.

Drake's Tour Bus Gets Towed Before Tour Kickoff with Migos
The tour will now kick off in Kansas City on August 10th, with a limited number of additional shows being rescheduled. Sources at the hotel tell us Drake and his crew are staying there. but it's unclear why they lost their wheels.

Now, the Skins will move forward with Samaje Perine and Rob Kelley, as well as pass-catching threat Chris Thompson, who is still recovering from a fractured fibula he suffered on November 19.

Instead, Guice's National Football League career starts with a medical redshirt. His season is officially over before it really got started. We're probably going to see them use a tandem moving forward where one guy handles first downs, shorter second and third downs, and short-yardage/goal-line work, while another back works longer second and third downs and the two-minute drill.

Guice ran with bad intentions in his career with the Tigers, averaging north of 4.0 yards after contact per attempt in each of his first two seasons with the team (2015-16). He goes from irrelevant to middle-late-round fodder as a depth running back, but it'll be hard to expect much from him.
