Players will be making a trip to Mexico City this winter for a regular season basketball game versus the Orlando Magic on Saturday, Dec. 15. Two games will be played, but only three teams will go south of the border to participate, meaning one team will be playing in both games.

This is the third consecutive season that the league will play two regular-season games in Mexico City.

Don't worry too much about the travel impacting the Jazz during the regular season slog: Mexico City is closer to Salt Lake City than Orlando is by about 250 miles. They'll face the Magic, considered the home team, on December 13 at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico. The game is the second of a two-game series in which the Magic will also play the Chicago Bulls in the Arena Ciudad de Mexico.

The NBA has played 26 games in Mexico since 1992.

The NBA Mexico City Games 2018 will be broadcast live by ESPN and on NBA League Pass International.

More than 18,000 fans also witnessed the Jazz in Mexico City on October 26-27, 1996, in games versus Dallas and Phoenix.

"Returning to Mexico City for two regular-season games this season reinforces our commitment to growing basketball in Mexico and Latin America", commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. Now the Bulls will get their chance to experience the city as a host for one of their games. And take note, National Football League. The NBA has established a major worldwide presence with games and programming in 215 countries and territories in 50 languages, and merchandise for sale in more than 125,000 stores in 100 countries on six continents.
