WikiLeaks says Senate panel seeks interview with Assange

WikiLeaks claimed on Twitter that the letter was delivered via the U.S. embassy in London, although both the embassy and the senate select committee on intelligence declined to comment when contacted by Sky News.

WikiLeaks tweeted a picture of a letter signed by Sen. The committee is investigating alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election.

"As part of that inquiry, the committee staff requests that you make yourself available for a closed interview with bipartisan committee staff at a mutually agreeable time and location".

Assange has long figured into the Russian Federation investigations due to WikiLeaks' role in releasing hacked emails from Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2016.

Special counsel Robert Mueller indicted 12 Russian intelligence officers in July accusing them of hacking the DNC.

The website said its legal team is "considering the offer but the conditions must conform to a high ethical standard".

Others worth a mention in the current list are West Coast 9/1, Hofburg 14/1 and the hugely popular Accelerate, also trading 14/1. Mubtaahij made up the places but the victor was never in trouble, delighting followers who had him backed at a stunning 8/1.

Rumors about the relationship between the Wikileaks founder and the former "Baywatch" star and Playboy model have been swirling for months and have drawn the attention of Federal Bureau of Investigation, which said it may want to interview Anderson about her time spent with Assange, The Sun reported.

Over a month before the Senate Intelligence Committee's letter arrived in London, ten Democrat senators sent a petition to Vice President Mike Pence, demanding that he press the Ecuadorian government to revoke Assange's asylum.

Assange has also hinted that there is a link between the death of Seth Rich, the director of voter expansion data for the DNC, and the publication of the DNC emails.

"Whistle-blowers go to significant efforts to get us material and often very significant risks", Assange told Dutch television program Nieuswsuur in August 2016.

Assange has been residing as an asylee at the Ecuadorean Embassy in London for the last six years.
