Transfer: Real Madrid midfielder to undergo Chelsea medicals today

Everton are reportedly keen on Chelsea's Tiemoue Bakayoko.

With so many incomings, Chelsea will need to trim the squad and the prominent candidate for a move away seems to be French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The Toffees may have taken a while to get going in the transfer window, but have now added three signings after securing Joao Virginia, Lucas Digne and Richarlison.

The situation alerted clubs in the Premier League and the Sun reported earlier this week Manchester United were hoping to beat Chelsea to Kovacic's signature but the midfielder snubbed their advances as he didn't want to play under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

He then claimed: " It is absolutely ridiculous that people should choose to go around looking like letter boxes ". Fellow Labour MP Jess Phillips also wrote a message to the Equality and Human Rights Commission on Twitter.

Bakayoko arrived at Chelsea last summer but failed to impress in his debut season at the club, despite arriving with a big reputation after his £40m move from Monaco.

Although Bakayoko has been involved in Chelsea's pre-season under new head coach Maurizio Sarri, recent reports believe that the Italian could make his player surplus to requirements.

Chelsea may have signed Jorginho and be on the verge of landing Mateo Kovacic, but they aren't giving up on Bakayoko entirely, and plan to loan him out this month.

And it seems negotiations have been progressing smoothly and according to Sky Italia, Bakayoko's representatives are now meeting the AC Milan hierarchy to move the deal forward.
