'The Flash' Fans Defend Grant Gustin Against Body Shamers

The photo showed the 28-year-old in a new suit, and people were dissatisfied with the design and how Gustin's body looked in it. "Things have been adjusted since that leaked shot was taken, and more things will continue to be adjusted until it feels right".

While it's frustrating that he's still having to face body shaming 5 seasons into his run as The Flash, we're glad Gustin took the time to address this very important issue. "We'll get there", the actor writes.

"The Flash" star Grant Gustin has responded in a passionate Instagram post over a since-deleted leaked photo of a new costume he'll be wearing for the show's upcoming fifth season.

Chelsea sign midfielder Mateo Kovacic on season-long loan from Real Madrid
Most European clubs have until August 31 to make transfers though the Premier League window slams shut at 5pm today. The Croatian midfielder competed with regular Madrid starters Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

"That's a awful photo that I was unaware was being taken, much less being posted, Some things need work and they will be worked on. It's a cool suit", Gustin said. "Some things need work and they will be worked on", he continued. Fans shared a range of reactions, from calling out the unnecessary nature of body shaming while others pointed out that the character isn't supposed to be the muscular giant that someone like Batman or Superman would be. That is what pisses me off. "That's a awful photo that I was unaware was being taken, much less being posted", he said. "Not even just for my sake". Something as important as Barry Allen's signature outfit will be the product of a lot of work from the costume designers before they come up with the flawless version. "I love the suit that has been designed for me, and I think when everyone sees it in its entirety, you will love it too". "But there's a double standard where it's ok to talk s-- about a dudes (sic) body". "I've had 20+ years of kids and adults telling me or my parents that I was too thin".

Adding that he does his "best to stay in shape", Grant said he is "naturally thin" and admitted "gaining weight is a challenge for me". Gustin explained that it's taken him a while to be happy with his naturally thin frame and his weight has always been something he's struggled to accept, but he's finally happy with his body.
