Kris Aquino stuns in 'Crazy Rich Asians' world premiere

On Wednesday, some movie-goers at Ronnie's Marcus Cinema in South County got to see an advanced showing of the highly anticipated movie "Crazy Rich Asians".

Aquino was accompanied by her youngest son Bimby who looked dapper in a barong.

He couldn't help but also check on his wife's hair to make sure she looks super great too.

"Maraming salamat po sa effort nyo to show your love & support!" she added. In a lengthy post on Twitter, she said the premiere is "truly historic" and "more than a movie, it's a movement".

In an earlier post, she said that she was still deciding on which of the gowns by Michael Leyva and Francis Libiran she would wear.

"Crazy Rich Asians" opens in theaters August 15.

The movie stars established actresses like Michelle Yeoh, from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", and Constance Wu from US television comedy "Fresh Off the Boat" along with newer faces like NY rapper and actress Awkwafina and Henry Golding, who was raised in Britain. Rachel is forced to learn and navigate a new culture, meet jealous socialites who think she is just after Nick's money and try to win over her boyfriend's critical mother.

Singaporean actress Janice Koh, who plays Nick's aunt Felicity, flew the Singapore flag high on the red carpet in an entirely Singapore-designed get-up: Her black dress is by local fashion designer Ong Shunmugam, the earrings by local jeweller Choo Yilin, and a clutch by Singapore's Ling Wu.

She plays the role of Malay royalty, Princess Intan, in the American romantic comedy-drama film based on Kevin Kwan's "Crazy Rich Asians" trilogy.
