Carragher: New Arsenal boss Emery compared to Rafa Benitez

Welbeck recently entered the final year of his Gunners contract and after an injury hit spell in north London since joining from boyhood club Manchester United in 2014, it has already been rumoured that new manager Unai Emery has informed him he is free to leave.

Welbeck is considering his future at the club, with just 24 hours left in the Premier League window, and he is believed be on the shortlist of a number of clubs.

Arsenal could be set for a busy deadline day with a host of players linked with moves in and out of the Emirates Stadium.

The England global would need to agree a move quickly due to Premier League clubs shutting their transfer window early; he could still go overseas after Thursday.

There has been many reports saying that the gunners could lose Aaron Ramsey to Barcelona and get Ousmane Dembele in return so even though, the two players literally don't play the same position but the gunners getting the young Frenchman would be a great addition to Unai Emery's squad.

Arsenal signed Welbeck from Manchester United on deadline day as well in 2014 when Louis van Gaal chose to ship him out.

Emery wants to cut Arsenal's significant wage bill and with Welbeck earning £115,000 a week, selling him will be financially advantageous for the club.
