Aston Villa want to sign Robert Snodgrass for another spell

Now, Grealish - who was "disillusioned" at being told to stay at Villa according to Sky Sports - has taken to Twitter to send a message to fans after the closure of the summer transfer window, telling them it's time to get to work with Villa, showing that his focus is exclusively on his boyhood club despite having the chance to play for a Champions League club.

Although there haven't been any new arrivals at "The Lane", Pochettino is adamant his side will be able to improve on last season's third-place finish.

He is particularly pleased with the work they have done to extend the contract of World Cup Golden Boot victor Kane, who had been linked to Manchester United and Real Madrid.

If we are happy with our squad and can not improve our squad, sometimes it's better to keep our squad together.

"The club made a massive effort to try and extend the contract of Harry Kane, just one example".

"Of course it's hard to understand for people that Tottenham didn't sign or sell players, but sometimes in football you need to behave differently". But I am happy to keep all the squad together.

"I am happy to keep all the squad together".

Everton clinch signing of Brazilian Bernard
Gomes joined Barcelona from Valencia in 2016 for (£31.46) €35m but has struggled to nail down a starting place at the Nou Camp. The Toffees take on newcomers, Wolves, in their first match of the 2018-19 Premier League season on Saturday, 11th August.

"We have a lot of players".

Villa's new executive chairman Nassef Sawiris has made clear the 22-year-old is not for sale and has rebuffed an approach from Tottenham, the player's long-time suitors. They couldn't even sign a player from the Championship. But on £20,000-per-week he is now among the lowest paid first-team players at the club and Villa will offer a deal which better reflects his importance to the team.

"There are many rumours during the transfer window". There is no point talking about players at another club.

"We are happy with our squad and we can not improve our squad".

"We work to improve the squad but, when it is not possible, it is not possible, and we move on. I am sure we are going to be better, no doubt about that".

With their new stadium now completed, their first game of the new Premier League season is away against Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.
