Paul Pogba angered by José Mourinho's view of World Cup exploits

La Liga champions FC Barcelona are thought to be interested in a deal to sign the Manchester United midfielder after the Catalan side were unable to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann this summer.

But United and Barca are still to do a deal and former Liverpool man Steve Nicol believes Mourinho should do his best to keep Pogba.

It appears they won't be doing anything by half-measures as Barça's dream is to reunite a midfield duo which was formed at Juventus: Vidal and Paul Pogba.

The 25-year-old, who lit up the World Cup finals in Russian Federation, has often flattered to deceive since returning to United from Juventus two years ago.

Many of Manchester United's players represented their countries during the World Cup.

Courtois Eager To Dump Chelsea For Real Madrid
With Eden Hazard, N'Golo Kante and Thibaut Courtois all being linked with moves elsewhere, Blues fans have a right to be anxious . New Chelsea coach, Maurizio Sarri, will have a meeting with his returning stars Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois this weekend.

Mourinho brought the Frenchman back to Manchester in 2016 for a then world-record fee of £89 million ($115 million) but he struggled last season, left out of the starting line-up or substituted on a number of occasions. However, there have been constant rumors of the 25-year-old Pogba having bust-ups with manager Mourinho as the two clashed with their particular ego's.

It doesn't seem like the most outrageous of claims to suggest that managers should be able to coach the best out of their players, which begs the question, why shouldn't every manager feel the same?

Martial, on the other hand, has been linked with a move away all summer after his agent stated he wanted to leave Old Trafford back in June. He is a great manager, I really enjoyed working with him.

The Sun says Pogba has told United he wants a £200k-a-week pay rise - if he has to stay.

Sky Italy have said that United have turned down £45m plus Everton linked defender Yerry Mina and Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes.
