Hulkenberg Welcomes Ricciardo's Inclusion in Renault

Nico Hülkenberg has a new teammate at Renault next season in Daniel Ricciardo, and the German has acknowledged that the Aussie is a "super driver" when asked about it.

News that Ricciardo will leave Red Bull at the end of the year shocked the Formula 1 world late last week, and even caught the energy drink-owned team by surprise. While his switch to Renault F1 team does provide a sense of optimism for Cyril Abiteboul's team, Ricciardo's fans should be well aware that a Championship win is yet a distant dream for the Aussie who has lost faith in Red Bull's ability to deliver a championship winning auto till at least 2020.

Daniel Ricciardo says leaving Red Bull was "by fay the toughest decision" he's made during his career in a video posted to social media.

"Sad to move on, absolutely". The Aussie came to Red Bull as a replacement for his former Australian counterpart Mark Webber and challenged Sebastian Vettel right from the outset by emerging third in the driver's championship to Sebastian Vettel's 5th position, prompting Vettel to switch to Ferrari in 2015.

Earlier this summer, Red Bull's Christian Horner stated that Sainz would be the team's most likely choice in the event of Ricciardo's departure.

Arsenal near deal to sell Lucas Perez to West Ham
According to ESPN , Perez has now agreed a three-year contract with West Ham, with the option of a further 12-month extension. Nicknamed "The Rock", the 6ft Colombia worldwide will provide the Hammers a solution to their defensive midfielder needs.

"I was on the junior program in 2008, some wonderful memories from there, things that I'll always be grateful for and I'll never forget that ride".

Ricciardo's switch to a team outside the big three of Red Bull, Mercedes and Ferrari represents a gamble.

"Excited for what lies ahead with Renault", Ricciardo continued, "but [I] just want to thank Red Bull Racing, Red Bull the company, for everything they've done for me".

"I really appreciate it, from the bottom of my heart, and we've got nine races left to kick some arse, so let's get it".
