Bale calls for improvements at Madrid

Inside the first couple of minutes of Real Madrid's International Champions Cup game against Roma in NY, the Welshman received the ball on the right, just inside the opposition's half.

Madrid have been getting used to life without Ronaldo, who joined Juventus earlier in the summer, during the International Champions Cup (ICC) campaign in the United States.

A lovely inside-of-the-boot pass from Gareth Bale to find Marco Asensio in a 1v1 situation with Roma keeper Robin Olsen saw Madrid's first goal of the night just two minutes into the game.

Madrid on the other had also come into the game after yet another "Remontada" against Italian Champions Juventus - with the Real Madrid youngsters putting in a stellar show in the second half. 'The new coach is here with his new ideas and we still have things to improve.

Vinicius Junior also featured in all three games, providing an assist for Asensio in the 3-1 win over Juventus and nearly scoring against Roma.

Asensio, with his third goal of the preseason, opened the scoring just two minutes into the contest.

Assuming you've not already scrolled down past all the words above, here is Asensio's goal and, more importantly, Bale's brilliant pass.

In the 15th minute, Madrid doubled their lead as Bale latched onto Dani Carvajal's long ball and slotted his low drive into the bottom corner.

Strootman was left wide open off a throw-in and headed pass and all he had to do was hammer it past the startled Real Madrid goalkeeper.
