Arsenal near deal to sell Lucas Perez to West Ham

Arsenal near deal to sell Lucas Perez to West Ham

The agent of Arsenal forward Lucas Perez, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, has confirmed that fellow Premier League club West Ham have made an offer for the 29-year-old.

According to ESPN, Perez has now agreed a three-year contract with West Ham, with the option of a further 12-month extension.

The Spaniard was signed from Deportivo La Coruna for £17m two years ago but struggled to secure a regular first-team role during his debut campaign at Arsenal.

West Ham have already spent big this summer, landing the likes of Felipe Anderson, Issa Diop and Andriy Yarmolenko - as well as bringing in former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere on a free transfer.

"There are other clubs interested but joining West Ham would allow him to continue in London and in the Premier League and Lucas wants to continue in London".

Rand Paul: Russian delegation to visit Capitol Hill
"I think this is incredibly important", the U.S. lawmaker was quoted as saying in translated comments by Interfax news agency. Rand Paul on Monday invited Russian lawmakers to Washington after meeting Russian members of parliament in Moscow.

Perez is due for a medical with West Ham on Tuesday.

Not content with having Lucas Perez lined-up, Manuel Pellegrini is also pushing to bolster his side's midfield ranks with the addition of Fiorentina's Carlos Sanchez - who will be remembered for his previous spell at Aston Villa, where he left a lot to be desired.

Nicknamed "The Rock", the 6ft Colombia worldwide will provide the Hammers a solution to their defensive midfielder needs.

Sanchez featured at the World Cup in Russian Federation but had a disappointing tournament, having been sent off in the opening game with Japan and conceding a penalty against England.

Should Perez leave Arsenal, he'll do so with a record of seven goals in 21 games.
