HMD Global Oy, since it announced the first Nokia products in India back in 2017, it has been very vocal on how much important the subcontinent is for the company. Specs-wise, the Nokia X5 is a decent mid-range smartphone featuring a MediaTek Helio P60, as well as 3GB or 4GB RAM. Except for the Android One branding, rest of the specifications and features of Nokia 6.1 Plus are the same as the original Nokia X6.

Internally, the Nokia 6.1 Plus shares everything in common with X6. Due to the notched display, the Nokia 6.1 Plus has a taller 19:9 aspect ratio as opposed to 18:9 aspect ratio seen on most flagship devices. On top of that, the panel has bare minimal bezels on all three sides, except for the chin.

Powering the Hong Kong variant of the Nokia X6 aka. It comes powered 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor coupled with Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 509 GPU. For the Hong Kong market, the model comes standard with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB e-MMC internal storage. Moreover, there's further room for memory expansion up to 400GB via a microSD card slot.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus has a pretty commendable camera setup. It features a dual rear shooter comprising of a 16MP primary and 5MP secondary sensor. In the photography department, the smartphone sports a dual 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture on the rear and 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front for selfies.

The smartphone features all the connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type C port. As for security the Nokia 6.1 Plus feature both the fingerprint scanner and face recognition sensor.

While HMD Global might have not made publicize this at the moment but it is generally known that the company has the intention to bring Nokia X6 to markets outside of China. Besides, the Finnish parent firm has priced the Nokia 6.1 Plus slightly higher than its pricing in China. The device is priced at HKD 2,288 (approx United States dollars 290 / INR 20,000). It comes in White and Blue color options and is will go on sale starting July 24th.
