And Madrid's president Florentino Perez was given a chance of one day getting his man when he left Real's arch-rivals Barcelona for PSG last summer.

It comes after Real denied earlier this month they had agreed a deal to sign PSG and France forward Kylian Mbappe. Some media reports claimed that Madrid had sent an emissary to Brazil to negotiate the Neymar's transfer to the Bernabéu with the player's father.

'Given the information issued tonight by TVE on a supposed offer of Real Madrid to PSG and player Neymar, Real Madrid CF said that this information is outright false.

"The relationship between the two clubs is extraordinary so that if at some point Real Madrid were considering signing a PSG player, the first thing the club would do would be to make an official approach".

Another online forum counters Marca, reporting that PSG are hoping that offering the Brazilian a salary in the region of Messi's will be enough to dispel any thoughts he is harbouring to move to Madrid.

The Skyscraper star said he is now lacking the experience needed to do the job which he would need to learn before making a leap into politics.

"To sign someone now to score 50 or 60 goals is going to be hard, no other player can guarantee that as Ronaldo has in these last nine years".

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to offer a pay-rise to Neymar in a bid to keep the forward out of the reach of Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old still has four years remaining on his contract at the Ligue 1 giants.

"We all expected more from him because he's the star of the team", Ronaldo told SporTV, as quoted by Spanish publication Sport.
