Cape Town - Dwayne Johnson is back in cinemas this weekend with a new action-packed blockbuster.

At the end of the chat, Colbert asked Johnson about his Samoan heritage and his singing skills in animated Disney film Moana.

"I know you're not particularly a political person but people have talked to you about whether you would run for political office yourself because people love a victor, you seem like a victor and you exude great confidence".

For years the towers were known for their distinctive red colouring until anti-corrosive coatings were applied in the early 90s. The demolitions comes about seven years after the complex hosted its last launch.

The "Late Show" host, who usually dedicates his monologue to making fun of President Donald Trump and other politicians, couldn't resist asking the star of "Skyscraper" if he actually takes the possibility of running for the presidency seriously.

"Just to put it into context, the Washington Post posted a story and the gist of it was if I were to run I could have a legitimate shot at winning".

"I absolutely do, yes", Johnson said as the crowd began cheering loudly to his response.

"At the same time, I'm not delusional at all".

"To me, there's no need to have a conversation". I really do think that Dwayne Johnson was the ideal actor to cast for the role and am excited to see the him step into the superhero world. "So if that were to happen in 2024 or 2028, I'd have to go to work and get that experience", Johnson explained. And then Colbert switched gears to Johnson's 2011 tweet about Osama Bin Laden's death, which he knew about an hour before the rest of the American public. The Skyscraper star said he is now lacking the experience needed to do the job which he would need to learn before making a leap into politics.
