Agent of World Cup star addresses Everton links as interest mounts

Jair Mina, Yerry Mina's agent and uncle has told a Spanish radio station that he isn't aware of any bids and that his nephew believes he will succeed at Barcelona.

It is unclear how far each side is willing to go in a bidding war, but neither are likely to stretch their resources too far - with the threat of Financial Fair Play regulations a constant issue to contend with for all big spending football clubs.

According to The Sun Barcelona want to keep Mina around for the long-term, but could be open for a season-long loan, which will not only give Mina first team experience in a European top competition, but also open up an extra non-EU space in Barcelona's squad for Arthur. "He is convinced he will get the chance to do big things and our idea is that he stays where he is".

Barcelona were sure about selling the defender, who just joined in January from Palmeiras, before the World Cup, but his performances in Russian Federation have changed opinions about him at the Nou Camp.

Chelsea confirm Antonio Conte's sacking with terse statement
It was on the cards long before last season's FA Cup triumph, which came less than 12 months after he won the Premier League . Fans took to Twitter with a mixed reaction to the dismissal and manner of dismissal of their once beloved coach.

Liverpool are reportedly not interested in signing Colombian centre back Yerry Mina, despite suggestions they would seek to bring in the World Cup star in the transfer window.

Just seven months after joining the Blaugrana from Brazilian outfit Palmeiras, the towering defender has been strongly linked with Liverpool, Everton and Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

Representing Colombia at the World Cup, Mina made a name for himself by scoring three goals.
