The picture that proves Harry and Meghan aren't having kids just yet

Royal fever gripped Dublin as Prince Harry and Meghan made their way through the capital, taking time to, as the royal couple put it, "meet as many Irish people as possible".

Newly married royal family member Meghan Markle has broken a royal protocol opening up with her views.

His tone was more positive than at a garden party at the British ambassador's residence in Dublin on Tuesday night when he told Irish rugby legend Brian O'Driscoll he was not as confident as everyone else and wanted to avoid jinxing the result. Although always smartly turned out, in the first few weeks following her wedding, Markle relied on safe outfits in tasteful shades of pink and beige that, while undeniably neat, were a tad unadventurous.

In less than no time, Meghan had transformed, pulling her hair down from her earlier bun into loose waves and changing into a black trousers suit with a white shirt underneath.

Meghan opted to wear a dress by the iconic fashion designer, on July 11, that was the same design she donned on her wedding eve in May.

The couple walked past the ecstatic royal fans standing five deep against crash barriers, greeting as many of them as they could. "The Duchess and I had a chat about the recent referendum - she watched with interest and was pleased with the result".

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit the Famine Memorial in Dublin, which commemorates the Great Famine of the mid-19th century.

"Pleasure to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to government buildings at the start of their visit to Ireland", Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said on Twitter, using the titles the Prince and the former Hollywood actress received on their marriage. The happy couple said their own vows as Rachel walked up the aisle with her dad to John Legend's All Of Me.

But fear not: The duchess brought hairstylist George Northwood along for the trip; trust that she packed plenty of designer dresses too.

They also met Ireland's President Michael D Higgins, his wife and his two dogs - Brod and Sioda.
